This game is a good time! Environments are snazzy, gameplay is a little loose but you get used to it quickly so it ends up feeling natural, and npcs are entertaining. The whole game gave me minor Cryptworlds vibes and I don't really know why, maybe it's the vibe of those eyes, but I liked it!

Hi! I played part of your game!

The art style is really pretty, and one of the first things that drew me in. Is it hand-drawn? It looks like it! The creature design and main story of the game is just as funky and cute.

I really had only one issue with the game, and it's that running it sort of destroyed my computer? I'm on Windows 10 right now. Had a lot of issues getting Bernstein to boot up.  In the downloaded version I can see the opening cutscene of your game, the creatures you've designed are rad, but after the flying pig loses the eye they stole, your game takes me to a black screen I can't leave until I press escape.

Luckily, after downloading the game it works in-browser! I was able to play there. However, trying to do anything else while the game is running basically causes a full-stop of everything on my laptop. My tabs in Opera refused to open, clicking icons on my desktop was tricky, and pressing control-alt-delete had me waiting on a minutes-long delay. I had to turn my computer off manually and I felt like I was rolling dice for it to turn on again when I did.

HOWEVER!!! The game experience itself is genuinely really enjoyable, and I can tell the game has been well-loved and well thought out. I played until the first chase scene, where I got most of the way through before discovering the issues that came with your browser version and panic leaving. Your tutorial level is intuitive and works great!

I'm a casual gamer, and discovered all the tips and tricks this little eyeball can do right where it felt intended to. I discovered you could hold space to jump higher as I was messing about in the starting area, I came across the first jump I couldn't make and was able to conclude what to do without any trouble, and felt like I was really getting the hang of it just in time for that chase scene to really test my skills and bring down my ego! lol!

I do admit I added my own music to the experience (trying to make sure I had it on loop lead me to discover the computer issues). If you're someone reading who's thinking of trying the game, Hollow Knight's greenpath theme works great.

Ultimately, the game is fun and looks good, too! I'd appreciate being able to do other things while the game runs and I'd appreciate being able to play it outside of my browser, but until then I'm excited to find a time I'm not using my computer for anything else so that I can play again.
